First day I had this, after a few successful throws, the 'chute Roman-candled, and my prized Action Man lost a hand (early solid type) when he hit the ground. Gutted.

13:47 you can remove clear adhesive tape from boxes without damaging the art, with cigarette-type lighter fluid. Simply squirt a little where you want it, allow it to seep in and the tape will lift off without any fuss. Once the lighter fluid dries, the box will be as good as it once was. Do not use lighter fluid for starting fires in your backyard barbecue grill. It will damage the paper. Good luck!

If the stars are missing from the box, it is because that is where the Escape officer cut his way out.

What a great film and even better memories for me with my Action Man. Obviously no drones back in 1973. But if you packed the parachute well you could throw him to quite a height and then enjoy watching the decent. Again, thanks for sharing your film and reawakening some very happy childhood moments.

Interesting...I thought perhaps you either installed a timer or some other 'cutdown' system but it looks like the capsule thrusters got stuck at 60,000 feet just before Action Man bailed out of his breaking apart vehicle 41.03 or more probably he experienced severe turbulence even at 60,000' leaving the balloon to continue rising to greater heights. Nice video.

This Action Man prompted me to join the Red Devils, once I had been in The Paras for a few years. I actually dropped my Action Man as I jumped. I still have it. I don't play with it any more. Just turned 60. But it still takes pride of place!
